Welcome to Cinema 10 Spring 2016!

This is the first post of the Spring 2016 semester. You don’t need to reply to it. What you need to know is that all your FUTURE posts go AFTER this one. (In other words, please don’t post to last semester’s entries.)

Looking forward to a deeply informative, sometimes challenging, often fun semester.

In the recent film We watched in class “Mad Max Fury Road” We observed a film with a lot of raw action and violence which nonetheless does not stray away from the older films of the Mad Max series. However there were a lot of very unreal action scenes that I feel would be almost humanly impossible in the real world such as when while in pursuit of the War Rig the War Boys were riding motorcycles or dirt bikes which ever you prefer and above them were War Boys swinging on very long poles left to right to get on the War Rig which is innovative but very unreal. Physically speaking the weight of the War Boys would easily cause the dirt bike to tip over and fall on it’s side if You’ve ever rode a dirt bike You would be able to recognize slight shifts of weight could easily tip a person over and at the speeds they traveled at would surly result in the War Boys falling off of the poles and capsizing the dirt bikes. But the award winning film nonetheless was able to capture a magnitude of intensity throughout the whole film by using a variety of camera shots from not only crazy angles and close up shots of immediate action throughout the film, the music also added an intensity of it’s own throughout the whole film such as Immortan Joe’s War Boy who hung off of one of the many pursuit vehicles and played heavy metal with a double flam throwing guitar increasing the intensity in certain action scenes. I felt the acting was very good throughout the whole film showing lots of raw emotion in dramatic scenes throughout the movie as well as how much care each of the Wives and Furyosa displayed throughout the movie and eventually showing trust and care for both Max and the stray War Boy , Myself I have very little negative outlooks toward this movie I thought it was very good.
